Brief History Old Salvatorians F.C. was formed in 1953 by a group led by Fr Thomas Hennessey (with whom the Club still corresponds) as a section within the Old Salvatorians Association. The aims were to provide a social forum for the enjoyment of football for past pupils and teachers of the Salvatorian College. We have recently been provided with memorabilia going back to the very origins of the Club and hope to add this to the site shortly. After a season playing friendlies, the first League games in the Old Boys League were played in season 1954/55. We have a photo of that original League team on this web site here. In truth, the Club has been nomadic, enjoying a number of homes, including Kenton and Harrow Cricket Clubs and the Alma public house with varying degrees of success. In 1995, the Club left HCC to reside in its "spiritual home" at St. Joseph's Community Centre until its closure in 2000. The Club now enjoys its hospitality at Wealdstone Social Club (on the bridge). The 1st XI achieved premiership status for the first time in 1997-8 , yet after a successful initial season finishing 4th was relegated the following year on goal difference. Premiership status was regained at the first attempt and consolidated its position there until the merge of the Old Boys league with the Southern Olympian League to form the Amateur Football Combination. In the first season of the new league the Club has regained Premiership status. We're currently one of the biggest Clubs in the Amateur Football Combination, running 8 league sides and Vets teams playing in both Saturday and Sunday competitions The history of the Club is being managed by Paul Sheehy - please pass on any ideas.
