Old Salvatorians F.C. was formed in 1953 by a group led by Fr Thomas Hennessey as a section within the Old Salvatorians Association. The aims were to provide a social forum for the enjoyment of football for past pupils and teachers of the Salvatorian College.

After a season playing friendlies, the first League games in the Old Boys League were played in season 1954/55. We have a photo of that original League team on this web site here .

The Club has led a nomdic existence with a number of homes, including the Alma public house in Harrow Weald (now flats!), Kenton and Harrow Cricket Clubs. In 1995, the Club left Harrow Cricket Club to reside in its "spiritual home" at St. Joseph's Community Centre until its closure in 2000. Since then a successful six years were spent at Wealdstone Social Club before ill fated moves to LNER in North Wembley and Broadfields Country Club before its closure in 2010.

Salvo is now playing at The Hive, Barnet FC’s training ground with facilities second to none with hospitality at Conways4 on Honeypot Lane, regenerating the atmosphere of the “good old days”.

The 1st XI has been something of a yo-yo team in recent years. Having achieved premiership status for the first time in 1997-8, there have been a further three visits to the Premiership, but never for more than two seasons. The aspiration is for Premiership status to be a permanent feature!

A major milestone was achieved in 2010/11 season with the Under 17 side from St Joseph’s Youth RC joining en masse; it is hoped that this is the start of a long standing arrangement with St Joseph’s, providing a bridge between youth and adult football.

Old Salvo’s currently runs 6 sides in the Amateur Football Combination, reputed to be one of the biggest leagues in the world with around 300 teams turning out every Saturday.
